We are looking for a Technical Product Manager for Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar to join our team. You will need to organize, schedule and assess work for our product development of OpenPass mobility packages. 

Product Manager responsibilities include collecting feature requests set by Product Team, agreeing with Product and Tech team how to implement these features, scheduling releases and coordinating sprints. To be successful in this role, you should be able to identify user needs and work with cross-functional teams to manage product design and release.

You will also be the bridge between Business Development and Tech, helping the BD team to close the deals through supporting them from a tech point of view during sales pitches. You will also act as a technical consultant for our partners, so it is key you have thorough knowledge of the product along with a business/ sales acumen.

We are looking for a person with an expert approach instead of a managerial approach. This role takes a very hands-on approach instead of strategic, managerial or vision level approach and therefore takes many of the abilities expected from a mobility expert as well as learning a thorough understanding of OpenPass’s product.

This position is based in our office in Hanoi.

What you’ll be doing

  • Product Managers at OpenPass focus on identifying our consumer and business problems and are at the intersection of business, design, and engineering.
  • Product Managers have to be technical enough to understand how our underlying products are built and have a keen eye for design.
  • You are master communicators that work to bring teams together to drive towards a singular goal of making a product successful.
  • Finally, you are disciplined and understand that product management is both an art and a science.
  • In this role will be open to a healthy dose of creativity to define a vision for your product and be responsible for the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition of a product.
  • You will be the leader at the forefront as this role would require strong collaboration across various team and be the focal point for all stakeholders nearly in all functions.​

The day-to-day activities:

  • Shape the overall product vision and roadmap of your portfolio of products within the OpenPass mobility product.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design to define an ambitious strategy, establish timeline workflows, goals, and product benchmarks, develop and maintain a prioritized product backlog, and execute on delivering great experiences for users.
  • Define and communicate product requirements and specifications by thinking creatively and rigorously about how to solve problems that have never been solved before at this scale.
  • Ensure strong collaboration and communication across the company and serve as a primary point of contact for internal stakeholders across nearly all functions in the company - marketing, sales, operations, data science, engineering, content, customer service. 
  • Collect data, user feedback, and market research, and use that to inform product development.
  • Working closely with Business Development team to anticipate and address partner needs and pain points
  • Prioritise needs (scope, timelines, resources)
  • Acting as the primary liaison for product queries, anticipating partner needs and address them
  • Handle conflicting priorities well, communicate clearly and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence
  • Evaluating integration progress and advising partners to increase conversions, and performance etc.

Who we are looking for

  • 4+ years previous experience as a technical account manager, product owner, or similar role.
  • Preferably a masters in mobility, business, finance, economics, psychology, anthropology, or related fields.
  • Qualified or demonstrable experience in a related field
  • Solid understanding of the product life cycle
  • Demonstrated success in delivering compelling products in a fast-growing, dynamic, rapidly changing environment
  • In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies, technical understanding of products, and up-to-date on industry standards and best practices
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • JIRA understanding is desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail
  • Strong business acumen, be customer focused, team and results-oriented
  • Strong analytical skills and creative problem solving skills
  • Experience crafting easy to use, delightful user interfaces
